Speakers: Patrick Gallagher & James Ferry of Gallagher Transport International
Registration: Call the World Trade Center Denver at 303-592-5760 or Download the 10 + 2 Registration Form
About the Program: U.S. Customs & Border Protection will soon require many more elements of data be transmitted 24 hours prior to vessel loading. The 10 + 2 Rule, formally known as the "Importer Security Filing and Additional Carrier Requirements," places new legal burdens on importers and ocean carriers to submit data they currently do not provide to the agency. Ten of the elements will come from importers describing the cargo, and two of the elements will come from carriers bearing information regarding the containers and conveyances in which the cargo is loaded. While the Security Filing intends to improve CBP's ability to target high-risk cargo by identifying actual cargo movements and improving the accuracy of cargo descriptions, it introduces an added layer of reporting responsibility for importers and their agents. Join speakers Patrick Gallagher and James Ferry from Gallagher Transport International for a roundtable discussion about how the 10 + 2 Rule will impact your business.
