About the Event: The Colorado Chapter of the German American Chamber of Commerce and the American Council on Germany cordially invite you to a very special Speaker's Dinner event at the Rolling Hills Country Club in Golden Colorado.
The guest speaker is: Karsten Voigt, the Coordinator of German-American Cooperation from the Foreign office of the Federal Republic of Germany. The subject of his after dinner talk is:"Changing Governments, Changing Policies? The United States and Germany between Elections." Karsten Voigt offers an insider's view into the policies and pursuits of the German government, as well as its current relation to the United States, goals, policies and pursuits in light of the new and changing world.

2009 Customs Regulatory Seminar
Cost: $25 for WTC Members and $50 for Non-Members
About the Program: The requirements of international trade are constantly changing. Between the creation of new regulations and the updates and changes to existing requirements, the modern trade professional can find themselves behind the curve on policy changes in Washington. To make the burden a little easier, we invite you to join us for a half-day seminar focused on keeping you up-to-date and ahead of these changes and proposed regulations. Trade issues don’t have to be boring! The seminar presenter, Pete Mento is a highly sought after speaker on matters of international trade who has lectured to thousands of people all over the world. He is the least boring "Trade Geek" you are ever likely to meet.  His style of mixing economics, history and humor is always a welcome change for his clients and students. We promise a fast-paced, entertaining course that will not only keep you informed, but have you looking forward to our next session.

About the Program: Join us for a China Roundtable breakfast briefing featuring Mr. Daniel Feng, Director of the U.S. Office of the Tianjin Free Trade Zone in China. Tianjin is 80 miles from Beijing and home to the biggest port in northern China. the city is the gateway to 14 provinces and municipalities in China that have nearly 1/3 of the entire Chinese population. Tianjin's Seaport Foreign Trade Zone and Airport Industrial Park are state-of-the-art complexes housing some of the world's major companies. Well known U.S. corporations with operations in Tianjin include Otis, Caterpillar and Motorola.
