| Description: | This program will start with a list of 30 Comprehensive Planning Factors (CPFs). Whether you are initiating a new business venture in the Peoples Republic of China (PRC), reengineering an existing operation, or involved in import/export activities, you are facing a host of business, legal, operational and cultural challenges. If you have an existing entity in China, you may be concerned with its long-term viability given the current business environment and political climate in the PRC and worldwide. The changing world landscape means that keeping your business vital lends itself to being a process rather than a one time event. This intensive seminar will examine the following issues through real life experiences: - Identifying the critical success factors and establishing expectations - Planning for a business entity initiation/reengineering - Managing the implementation process - Selecting, communicating and networking with Chinese partners, suppliers, distributors, vendors, etc. - Screening, selecting, hiring, training, developing and retaining local staff - Establishing an optimal 'oversight' process - Dealing with corruption, intellectual property protection and related issues - Understanding the effects of cultural nuances while conducting business operations - Understanding the business environment and management framework and its implications for your business Instructors: Ken Gordon and Art Yarzumbeck from Gordon-Pacific |
