Now Available Online! - The 2008 International Business Supplement, "Colorad's Evolving Global Economy."

The World Trade Center Denver/Denver Business Journal International Business Supplement highlights global trade and business in the Colorado economy, and the resources available to help companies compete effectively in markets around the world. Take a look at the 2007 International Business Supplement, "Colorado: Competing in the Global Economy."

On August 22, 2008, you can pass your business card on to Colorado’s thriving international business community by advertising in the 5th Annual International Business Supplement. This year, the International Business Supplement is timed for distribution in conjunction with the Democratic National Convention. It will target 35,000 guests, including some 5,000 delegates and 15,000 members of the media who are expected to attend the Convention. By targeting attendees of the Convention, International Business Supplement will be able to highlight the importance of international business in the Rocky Mountain Region to a national and international audience.

The International Business Supplement, published by the Denver Business Journal and the World Trade Center Denver, will focus on two areas:

  1. The growing success of Colorado firms in the international marketplace
  2. The resources and services available to help companies compete effectively in markets around the world.
Who Does it Reach?

This 12-16 page International Business Supplement reaches 20,000 subscribers plus an extended readership of over 80,000 people. The Supplement is the only international business publication in the region and provides a unique opportunity for both large and small businesses to market themselves to companies operating in the global marketplace.

In addition, copies of the Supplement are provided to all new WTC Members. Also, anyone walking into the WTC office who is looking for information about the Colorado international environment is directed to the Supplement. Finally, the International Business Supplement is handed out at the WTC Annual Meeting.

Why Advertise in the International Supplement?

International trade is a big business in the Colorado economy - $7.35 billion dollars in goods and $2 billion dollars in services in 2007 alone! This year’s supplement is timed to reach out to the thousands of delegates and national and international journalists that will be visiting Denver for the Democratic National Convention. The International Business Supplement gives you the opportunity to advertise not only to the established Colorado trade community but also the chance to reach out to the thousands of visitors that will be certain to recognize the global businesses that call Denver and the Rocky Mountain region home.

The opportunity for growth in the global marketplace is limitless and we’ve set some lofty goals. The International Supplement is:

  • The only internationally focused advertising opportunity in the Denver market that actively reaches out to the international business community.
  • A great way to focus your advertisement to over 80,000 potential clients.
  • The perfect opportunity to create a full or half-page advertorial that highlights your expertise, your international focus, and your global reach.

Colorado International Trade by the Numbers:

  • Colorado's export shipments of merchandise in 2007 totaled $7.35 billion.
  • Exports of services including software, financial and IT services, business travel, tourism, and education are estimated to contribute another $2 billion to the Rocky Mountain Region's economy.
  • Colorado exported to 197 foreign destinations in 2007.
  • Nearly 16% of all manufacturing workers in Colorado depend on exports for their jobs.
  • A total of 3,959 companies exported from Colorado locations in 2005. Of those, 87% were small and medium-sized enterprises with fewer than 500 employees.
  • Small and medium-sized firms generated 25% of Colorado's total exports of merchandise in 2005.
  • In 2004, foreign-controlled companies employed 71,400 Colorado workers.

With all of these numbers to consider – shouldn’t you get involved in the international business community?

Get Your Message Across With an Advertorial!

Focus your ad on potential clients. Don’t just send us your logo and ad copy – expand your message by creating an “Advertorial.” An Advertorial gives you the stage to display your specific expertise and a platform to share your valuable insight on markets, services, or issues important to businesses involved in international trade and commerce.

In full-page, ½ page and 2/3 page ads, we encourage you to use the ad space that you purchase to provide a few lines, provide a paragraph, or provide a page of information about what your company does to service or support international business. Editorials from international experts will provide timely international trade information.

As an additional incentive to advertise in this year’s International Business Supplement, WTC-Denver will post the Supplement in the News section of its website until August 22, 2009. Combining the power of print advertising with the reach of the web gives you one price and two avenues to showcase your company’s international expertise.

When Do We Need Your Ad Space Selections and Articles?

All articles, ads, and “advertorials” must be submitted to the DBJ on August 1th for inclusion in the August 22nd International Business Supplement. Call the World Trade Center today at (303) 592-5760 or complete the attached Advertising Agreement and mail or fax it to the WTC-Denver office.
